Local-first product records with free CSV and JSON export

Use PlyOps Free with product data stored in your current browser, export generic CSV data, and download a versioned JSON backup without paying for access to your own records.

What does local-first mean in PlyOps?

Local-first means PlyOps Free stores the workspace in the browser's IndexedDB database on that device. The data is usable without a cloud subscription, but browser storage is not the same as a backup or multi-device sync.

Use the free workspace without a cloud subscription

Product records, variants, libraries, marketplace copy, and local tools remain available on the device where they were created. Generic CSV export and JSON backup are included in PlyOps Free.

  • Product and variant records
  • Materials and packaging libraries
  • Generic CSV data export
  • Versioned JSON backup and restore preview

Treat browser storage and backup as different things

IndexedDB belongs to the current browser profile and device. Clearing browser data can remove it. A downloaded JSON backup gives you a separate copy that can be inspected before restore.

Restore merges known records by ID, adds missing records, and reports what will happen before writing. It does not require clearing the local database first.

Upgrade for cloud convenience

PlyOps Cloud adds account-backed storage, automatic backup, sync, and multi-device access. The paid value is cloud operation and convenience, not permission to own or export your basic product data.

Common questions

Is local browser data backed up automatically?

No. Browser storage can be lost when site data is cleared, a browser profile is removed, or a device fails. Free users should download JSON backups. PlyOps Cloud adds automatic cloud backup and sync.

Can I export my data without paying?

Yes. Generic CSV export and JSON backup are included in PlyOps Free. Marketplace-formatted exports and connected listing actions are separate Connect features.

Can a CSV restore my complete workspace?

No. CSV is intended for spreadsheet review and portability. The versioned JSON backup is the complete workspace backup and supports a preview before restore.
