Marketplace Listing Checklist for Etsy, Shopify, and eBay

Review the shared product facts first, then check the title, tags, search preview, handle, photos, or item details that differ across Etsy, Shopify, and eBay. This checklist prepares the listing; it does not publish it.

Check a saved product for Etsy, Shopify, or eBay

Choose a saved product and open its Etsy content workspace. The review text on this public page stays here; no listing is created, updated, or published.

Prepare shared facts, then review each channel

Start with one verified product record: what the buyer receives, variant identity, dimensions, materials, photos, price, processing, shipping, returns, and care. Adapt only the fields that each marketplace handles differently, then compare the result with that marketplace's current listing form before any seller-confirmed save or update.

One listing-preparation method

  1. 1. Lock the product facts

Confirm the item, included parts, variants, dimensions, materials, photos, price, processing time, shipping method, returns, and care information.

  2. 2. Choose the exact category

Open the current marketplace form and select the closest valid category before finalizing attributes, item specifics, or variations.

  3. 3. Write for the channel

Keep the underlying facts the same while adapting the title, tags, search fields, description structure, and category details to the provider.

  4. 4. Match every variant

Check that option names, SKUs, photos, prices, and available combinations refer to the intended sellable variants.

  5. 5. Review fulfillment and policy fields

Confirm processing, package and shipping choices, returns, and any required disclosures in the marketplace itself.

  6. 6. Compare before the write

Read the final preview against the product record. Save, create, or update only the intended listing after the seller explicitly confirms the action.

Channel-specific final checks

Worked three-channel example

A Modular Workbench Organizer has small and large variants in black and orange, each with its own SKU. The product facts and photos stay consistent; the listing structure changes by channel.

Etsy
Select the closest category, verify its attributes and variations, then review the descriptive title and up to 13 compliant tags.
Shopify
Create one product with the size and color variants, confirm media and status, then review the SEO title, meta description, and product handle.
eBay
Choose the category and condition, complete its item specifics, keep the title within 80 characters, and confirm that size and color are valid variations.

What this checker cannot approve

  • The checks are writing and field heuristics. They do not validate category eligibility, prohibited-item rules, tax treatment, intellectual-property rights, or account standing.
  • Provider forms and requirements change. The current marketplace form and official guidance take priority over a saved checklist or character counter.
  • This public page cannot see an account, create a draft, update a linked listing, or publish anything.
  • Where PlyOps offers a connected listing action, the seller still reviews the provider-specific preview and explicitly confirms it. PlyOps does not silently publish or manage live marketplace quantities.
